Wales Public Library Board voted unanimously on personnel bylaws exemption. The Wales Public Library Board voted unanimously to submit a warrant article amending the town Personnel Bylaws to exempt library employees, a move following the library's independent bylaws adoption January 29. Library Director Kara Jund will attend the fully funded IMLS Library Convening conference in Washington DC June 10-12.
The Friends received $1,940 combined in grants: a $1,000 Penguin Grant, one of 20 awarded nationwide, and a $940 Quaboag Healthy Mini-grant. The Summer Reading Program Kickoff is June 18; the library will partner with Springfield Thunderbirds on a "Stick to Reading" program this fall.
