Wales Public Library Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve governance policies for the Friends of the Wales Library. Three separate motions passed without dissent: approval of a Memorandum of Agreement and cover letter clarifying roles between the board and the volunteer Friends group, adoption of a Cash Handling Policy for the Friends' finances, and allocation of State Aid funds for Library Director Kara Jund's professional conference attendance. Trustee Sue Gregory was assigned to contact the Attorney General's office regarding governance questions, and the full board agreed to rotate regular attendance at Selectboard meetings.
