Wales Library board unanimously approved its Strategic Plan with new Vision and Mission Statements and four focus areas: Facility, Programming, Marketing and Outreach, and Operations and Management.

Wales Library board unanimously approved its Strategic Plan with new Vision and Mission Statements and four focus areas: Facility, Programming, Marketing and Outreach, and Operations and Management. Sue Gregory moved and Keri Pitcher seconded approval of the Vision Statement emphasizing a safe, welcoming, inclusive environment for learning; the Mission Statement, approved the same way, focuses on inspiring curiosity and lifelong learning. The board assigned Gregory to review the Town Personnel Bylaws to guide library bylaws development.
Kara Jund reported that the structural engineer needs follow-up on building concerns including repairs to concrete steps, columns, beams, railings, water lines, and site improvements.
