Wales Public Library · Meeting of August 6, 2026

Wales Public Library Board of Trustees unanimously approved a new program policy. Sue Gregory and Keri Pitcher moved and seconded approval of the updated Library Program Policy, which now incorporates an Unattended Child policy. Library Director Kara Jund completed the library's website (wales.cwmars.org) and connected it to engagedpatrons.org for patron program registration.

The board deferred further discussion of library bylaws pending research into how other Massachusetts libraries structure their governance, citing concerns about the library's role as an appointing authority under town oversight.
