Wales Public Library board unanimously approved the director job description for posting. The Board of Trustees voted on October 15 to adopt the job description as amended by the Wales Selectboard, clearing the way to post the position through the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. Keri Pitcher and Sue Gregory made and seconded the motion.
In other business, the board discussed needed capital improvements including painting the front of the building, updating windows, and replacing missing glass panes in the Children's Room and circulation desk area. Library Director Kara Jund proposed canceling a $35-monthly Consumer Reports subscription, available through interlibrary loan.
