Sue Gregory Named Chair of Wales Library Board

WALES — The Wales Public Library Board of Trustees unanimously elected Sue Gregory as chair at its July 2 meeting. Gregory has engaged with the town's Board of Selectmen and contacted the Attorney General's office for guidance on the trustees' relationship with that board, which raised concerns that Selectmen's minutes were not posted on the town website. Gregory will follow up with the AG on the selectmen's rejection of the library's town meeting warrant application.
The board also unanimously approved using State Aid to fund Library Director Kara Jund's attendance at the Association of Rural and Small Libraries conference in September and approved Jund's request to roll over five days of unused vacation time.
