Wales Library Board recommended establishing a Friends of the Library liaison to board meetings. The recommendation came while the board addressed ongoing negotiations over a proposed Memorandum of Agreement. Library Director Kara Jund reported the arrangement could help reduce her workload as she seeks to cut her hours.
The board also continued its library bylaws review, scheduled to resume July 27, and discussed capital improvements for exterior painting; the Finance Committee can fund one side only, so estimates must be obtained by September for a November deadline.
