WALES — Conservation Commission unanimously approves soil-boring exemption for culvert work. Chair Zachery Berry and the five-member commission ratified approval for Tighe & Bond to conduct data collection on Peck Road and Monson Road under the minor-activities exemption to the Wetlands Protection Act, with each boring impact limited to one square foot of existing roadway and backfilled the same day. The commission also advanced a lake best-practices newsletter for distribution to residents within 300 feet of Lake George before June 1st, and reviewed images from MassDOT and the Department of Environmental Protection documenting Culvert 3 streambed material specifications.
