Conservation Commission · Meeting of August 27, 2026
Wales Conservation Commission unanimously approved three ecological restoration projects by the Norcross Wildlife Foundation on August 27. The Commission voted 5-0 on Notices of Intent for road improvements at 30 Peck Road, invasive species treatment, and phragmites control, all conditioned on environmental protections and annual monitoring. A positive determination was also issued for a proposed drywell at 35 Shore Drive, requiring full Notice of Intent filing.
The Commission ordered work to cease at 70 Union Road after discovering unauthorized site work and an illegal stormwater discharge connection to municipal systems, mandating revised plans before work continues.
